Karma Police: Protesting in 1984 vs. 2011 (video)

Wisdom Quarterly

(Against Apathy Blog, video by Earley15, "Karma Police" by Radiohead) Occupy SF
History is very educational. If we learn from it, there is no need to repeat it. Some gods say there is nothing new under the Sun. And back in 1984, the hardest workers among the other 99 percent of the British population went on strike. How most people viewed the action depended on how the mainstream media portrayed it.

Those who saw it from the side of police and bankers (funding the police and politicians) sympathized with the right. But when images started to emerge from the side of the demonstrators, suddenly people could sympathize with striking coal miners. At least the miners had a job.
US citizens, dissidents, students, and rabble-rousers who are occupying Wall Street are usually sinking into debt with or without a job. When they protest, to begin with people blame them. But as time goes on, it becomes clear that society (the banking-credit-debt system) will be upheld by paramilitary forces (peace officers) brutalizing anyone standing up for civil rights, economic fairness, constitutional rights, equality, or even basic human rights.

() How does Wall Street feel about protests? Unidentified occupants watching from on high in balconies along Wall Street sip champagne and watch the show (Source).

What are the bankers up to as poorly paid blue collar police do the dirty work of holding white collar crime in place?

Kwan Yin (Madonna) Mania in Ireland (FT)

(forteantimes.com)

Madonna [Kwan Yin] Mania! - Revisiting Ireland's summer of miracles and moving statues

FT reaches biblical proportions as it investigates the moving statues of the Blessed Virgin Mary [aka the Western version of Kwan Yin] witnessed by crowds all over Ireland, explores relics galore in the British Museum's "Treasures of Heaven" exhibition, looks over Jordan into the death of Moses...while perusing the Secret Gospel of Mark, which may cast new light on hitherto hidden messianic homosexual rituals.

Plus! Philadelphia's "Jack the Slasher" case; the history of cross-dressing in the Navy; the famous 19th century parachutist showman eaten by sharks; an antiquarian's menagerie; and the FBI meets Raven Kaldera: pagan shaman, herbalist, transgender god-slave, and prophet of Baphomet [that devilish goat-human hybrid demigod]!

World's Greatest Religious Monument (video)

Wisdom Quarterly

"Digging for the Truth: Angkor Wat: Eighth Wonder of the World" (History's Channel) - Angkor Wat is actually the world's largest religious monument.

(, June 6, 2011) Let's face the reality. Worldwide Cambodian communities are not blind to Hun Sen's autocracy or ignorant of what it is doing to Cambodia, plundering the nation. Cambodia needs leader not a tyrant or another Khmer Rouge military dictatorship. Of course the music, so popular in Asia, is not helping the awareness campaign. Bear with it, for there is an important message about what the [western] powers that be allowed or encouraged in Asia -- from Vietnam in the southeast to Afghanistan in the northwest.

The World Beneath Us (D.U.M.B.s)

James Casbolt, former MI6 agent, July 4, 2006 (edited for clarity by Wisdom Quarterly)

After the completion of my last article, MI6 are the lords of the global drug trade, I must now present the full picture as to what the intelligence community drug trafficking money is being used for....

My name is James Casbolt, and I worked in MI6 covert cocaine trafficking operations with the IRA in London between 1995 and 1999. My father, Peter Casbolt, was also MI6 and worked with the CIA and Mafia in Rome in 1993 on covert cocaine and heroin trafficking operations.

The global drugs trade, [which is] run by many factions of the global intelligence community co-operating together (MI6, CIA, MOSSAD, etc.), is worth at least £500 billion a year. This is more than the global oil trade.

[England's] MI6 controls many of the other intelligence agencies in the world. MI6 created the CIA in 1947 and still controls them today. This "black ops" drug money or in classic Orwellian terms, MI6/CIA ’non-appropriated funds’ is being used to fund government and military projects classified ‘Above top secret’.

These operations include a huge worldwide UFO cover up and the building and maintaining of "deep underground military bases" (D.U.M.B.s).

There are many of these bases worldwide but here is small list:

1) Dulce in New Mexico, 2) Brecon Beacons in Wales, 3) Los Alamos in Mexico, 4) Pine Gap in Australia, 5) the Snowy Mountains in Australia, 5) The Nyala Range in Africa, 6) West of Kindu in Africa, 6) next to the Libyan border in Egypt, 7) Mount Blanc in Switzerland, 8) Narvik in Scandinavia, 9) Gottland Island in Sweden, and many other places.

Phil Schneider worked on D.U.M.B.s and warned: New World Order, 911, FEMA Camps

These projects are being run by a secret, unelected international governing body connected to the U.N. There are at least 1,400 of these D.U.M.B.s worldwide, 131 in the US alone. With two underground bases being built per year in the US at the moment.

What's Down There?
The average depth of the bases is four and a quarter miles underground (some shallower and some deeper). The bases are on average the size a medium-sized city. Each DUMB costs between 17 and 26 billion dollars to build, which is funded by MI6/CIA drug money. Each underground base employs 10,000 to 18,000 workers.

A nuclear powered drill is used to dig underground. This drill goes through rock at a tremendous rate and literally melts the rock away to form a smooth glass-like surface around the edges of the tunnels.

On May 20 [2006], I personally received information from a former member of the NSA (National Security Agency) through a third party. I wish to protect this man’s identity, so I will call him "G." This is the first time this information is being made public.

G was subcontracted by the NSA in the late 1980s and worked for the NSA until 1992. He was a senior electrical engineer in the Los Alamos underground base in New Mexico. G also worked at the Alamo Gordo DUMB in New Mexico and an underground base in Hawaii. He said the Los Alamos base goes two miles underground and is the size of a small city.

Whilst there he witnessed rows of caged humans, tall grey aliens [asura], and a reptilian alien [naga]. G says the NSA was very hard on all subcontractors and people were worked very hard under severe conditions.

According to G the US Federal government, the USAF, and the DOE (Department of Energy) run the Hawaii DUMB he worked at. This base goes down two miles and stretches out into the Pacific Ocean.

It was here that three very tall and muscular "Nordic" looking men (who according to G were reptilian/human hybrids because their eyes would "shift" into having vertical slits for pupils) chased him along the motorway there and threatened to kill him because he had overheard them talking about some piece of high technology.

Understandably, G has been emotionally scarred from these experiences and does not like talking to people about them.

I was also told on May 23 [2006] from this source that in June there would be a huge amount of HAARP engineered earthquakes on the west coast of America and that the DUMBS there had already been evacuated and shut down. This was one hundred percent accurate because between the 21st and 28th of June there were at least 400 earthquakes on the west coast of America. More

Chemical Midlife: 1 in 10 on Anti-Depressants

Claire Bates (dailymail.co.uk)
Overwhelmed by life? One in 10 middle-aged adults in Europe take anti-depressants

Seeking chemical happiness: Why one in 10 of us reaches for the anti-depressants in middle age
It's a time of life when many adults reach the peak of their careers and are busy raising their children, but a new study reveals you are most likely to be depressed in your late 40s.

Researchers from the University of Warwick and the University of Stirling found one in 10 middle-aged adults acrossEurope took anti-depressants in 2010. [They do not work but rely on placebo effect and are toxic]. The rates were greatest in the UK alongside Portugal, France, and Lithuania.

In Britain, seven percent said they had been on drugs such as Prozac for more than four weeks, while two percent said they had taken them for under a month or from time to time.

This means 5.5million adults in the UK were on anti-depressants at some point last year.

Middle-aged women who were unemployed, divorced, or separated were the most likely to pop the pills.

Co-author Andrew Oswald of the University of Warwick, said: "As we live in the richest and safest era in the history of humans, perhaps we are going to have to ask ourselves why one in ten of Europe’s middle-aged citizens need a pill to cope with life.

"That is an awful lot of people relying on chemical happiness."

The scientists said that the results supported the hypothesis that most of us experience well-being in life as a U-shape. So we start and end our lives relatively content but become bogged down by stresses and strains at work and home leading to a mid-life crisis. More

What's the Alternative?
Wisdom Quarterly
If you cannot afford to be depressed, you cannot afford to eat poorly, no matter how much it costs to eat well instead. We are the only people happy to ruin our health to get rich then go give that wealth away to try to get well again.

There is so much that can be done, a plethora of therapies and solutions. But the one thing we refuse to do is listen to the condition. Why are we depressed?

Oftentimes it is appropriate. It becomes inappropriate and debilitating. Nevertheless, chemical allopathic drugs do not themselves work. Being paid attention to, given something, taken care of, feeling side effects (that reinforce the placebo effect)... all of these give us hope. We are being sold hope and cancer. With help comes a high price -- soaring health care costs, toxic livers (full of fluoride, heavy metals, enzyme disruptors, and artificial excipients).

The shocking truth is that MOST of our serotonin is made in the gut, not the brain. Eating well (food combining" for smooth digestion) and avoiding "food complementing" (for complete protein, which means food goes undigested ruining our digestion and serotonin levels) is often enough.

Utilizing an alkalizing diet also helps so long as we alkalize the blood not the stomach. The stomach needs to be acidic. Anyone who thinks s/he has an "acid stomach" is almost certainly lacking acid. Antacids are a terrible idea! Instead, the solution is vegetarian digestive enzymes. Digest more, be depressed less with no intestinal distress.

Anyone who has gut problems is likely to become depressed. There is an ancient Chinese saying: We are only as healthy as our intestines and only as young as our backs.

Good digestion is a blessing we do almost everything we can to ruin -- with sugar, starch/grains/carbohydrates, alcohol, vinegar, artificial and "natural" flavors (all of which are artificial excitotoxins toxic to braincells but legally called "natural" because they mimic a naturally existing flavor), gluten and grain damage (Celiac disease), chemical sweeteners...
Our "Food Pyramid" is a testament to the Four Food Lobbies. No human group in history or prehistory has ever eaten this way. If one wants to see the danger in such a diet, here is how:

Go to an Indian reservation. Its food supply is provided by the American government and wholly subsidized. It therefore follows American (Food Pyramid) guidelines. You will not find worse health -- obesity, acne, diabetes (insulin resistance), hypoglycemia, heart disease, high cholesterol, alcoholism, oxidative stress (premature aging), sugar addiction, and depression.

The other major cause of depression is lack of steady sleep (due to stimulant use, worry in reaction to stress), failing to exercise (a little many times a week is much better than a lot a few times a week), and toxicity. Heavy metals can be cleared by chelation.

But good luck trying to get any help for any of these things from an allopathic doctor. Such doctors and the medical industry in generally is utterly vested in disease and symptom treatment. Health means invasive treatment in this sense. But this is not holistic or sustainable but enslaving and bankrupting.
  • Eat fats that heal (which are satiating)
  • Avoid all processed carbohydrates and sugar
  • Eat greens daily, preferably at every meal
  • Eat antioxidant rich organic fruits and berries
  • Consume clean proteins (unfried, cruelty-free, vegetable-based)
  • Drink lots and lots of water (unfluoridated and never in plastic)
  • Eat daily probiotics (cultured food, not fermented)
  • Eat as much fiber/roughage as possible ensuring as many bowel movements as meals in a day
  • Detox through exercise, sweating, deep breathing, bathing in chlorine-free water (use a shower filter)
  • Avoid hydrogenated fats in plastic containers (which means processed oils such as canola and soy oil, even though they do not say so on the label)
  • Avoid putting chemicals on skin such as sunscreen (replacing it with antioxidants and phytonutrients), sodium lauryl sulphates (and related chemicals) or in hair.
There is much we can do to avoid depression. If it all seems like to much to be responsible for in our own lives, consider that we are doing all these things that need avoiding. Simply stop. There are countless alternatives.

Royal Wedding (comedy commentary)

Amber Dorrian and the Editors (Wisdom Quarterly)
Monty Python comically explains what British and American governing options evolved from, the "divine right" of holy dictators.

"Ironic. The middle-class Middletons looked fabulous -- elegant, restrained, classy, and the Royals looked like a bunch of chavs. Beatrice and Eugenie -- the goggle eyed kids of the Porks -- looked liked they thought they were going to 'My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.' One of them looked like she'd shot a deer and worn the antlers. Wow, too much money, no looks, and zero taste is a bad combination. Sam Cam, fabulous" (Sukisue in The Telegraph).

(BBC Worldwide) The stereotype of the medieval British peasant is that of an ignorant wretch. Monty Python's Terry Jones discovers that peasants were in fact literate, emancipated, highly political and legally savvy, house proud and healthy, and responsible for the peasants revolt of 1381.

How wonderful for Kate and commoners everywhere. Yay! One of us makes it to the top by inheriting a nation of subjects and serfs! That's some prince charming.

It makes me wonder though, why do we unquestioningly buy into this terrible fantasy? Every girl wants to be looked up to, but do we want to rule and be worshiped as "royalty"?

Whereas we're the United States, Britain one once the United Kingdom, a multinational EMPIRE that did not keep its hegemony and tyranny a secret. We keep ours a secret, built in secret by economic hitmen and jackals. Of course, it's not us and it wasn't them; we're all victims of our governments do in our name. More cake and parades for everyone!

I want to be rich and famous, too, like Evita singing Don't cry for me, Argentina! But not on the backs of "commoners," which by default means everyone but royals. I prefer castles and mansions everyone can visit and hang out at over a "to the manor born" attitude that means everyone else sleeps in a barn with the livestock.

The wealth on parade -- the royal grounds, jewels, cars, carriages, and architecture -- was all stolen. It is the booty of war, invasions, and conquests, not to mention working on the backs of the Island's own peasants, lords, and patriots.

Karma: The Royal Wedding Dress (photos)

Wisdom Quarterly
How better to make a splash than to employ a little shock value? It would not be the first time, as Kate's see through college dress (right) shows. Her official selection was see through but longer than expected:

The most photographed woman on Earth, the beautiful Princess Kate Middleton (not to be her official title due to House of Windsor technicalities), has to surprise the world. And what better way than following on the heels of her last runway modeling adventure? We predict that she will be showing off her youthful form. Not since Jackie O's , Jennifer Aniston's hair, or Princess Diana's dress has there been this much made of a fairytale wedding.

But "commoner" Catherine Middleton's story is better because she is descended from coal miners and her prince, combat-ready William, is second in line for the throne. He could actually become monarch of one of the world's great super powers. It is not the US alone but the Old World banking interests (along with Germany) that rule the world by proxy. Weddings are wonderful! Marriages, not so much. Kate Middleton will be the epitome of a British Berketex bride:

Why Kate, Why Not Me?
Karma distinguishes beings -- high and low, beautiful and homely, rich and poor, smart and slow, long-lived and short-lived, coupled and alone, and so on.

In the "Smaller Exposition on Karma Discourse" (Culakammavibhanga Sutta), the Buddha states the following:

"Beings are the owners of their karma [their store of intentional deeds, whether physical or verbal or mental, both those ripening in happiness or suffering], heirs of their karma. They originate from their karma, are bound to their karma, have their karma as their guide."

The Buddha urged disciples to tear down the forest of defilements -- states and traits within the categories greed, hatred, and delusion -- the roots of all suffering. In their place, he encouraged them to cultivate such habits as generosity, compassion, and wisdom.

We reap what we sow: Karma
When we experience the fruits and results (states and circumstances) of seeds (actions) we planted, it is because what we planted is finally coming to fruition. Actions ripen opportunistically -- as soon as they meet the right causes and conditions, even tens of thousands of years later.

Without them as the basis, good things do not arise for us. When that good is exhausted, as it inevitably must be, pleasant and welcome circumstances fall away.

"Love at first sight" is no accident but the result of karma (Lin Pernille/Flickr.com).

Good karma is easy to accept, and we have no trouble accepting credit even if we do not remember what we did to deserve our good fortune (because it is usually not done in this life).

It is far more amazing and difficult to believe, but when a thief and criminal enjoys ill-gotten gains, it is only because of former good karma.

"Crime does not pay" because when this bad karma ripens, it will ripen in suffering. It is not ripening immediately. The good one is experiencing is not due to stealing!

It is impossible that it should be otherwise: All the good one is experiencing is being experienced due to good karma. All that we are doing is our present karma, the results of which will be experienced later.

(This clarifies the apparent contradiction that crime does obviously pay since criminals sometimes go a long time without meeting with the negative repercussions of their choices. It is only an apparent contradiction. In reality, good results in what is welcome and pleasant, bad in what is unwelcome and difficult to bear).

Understanding this, beings are wise to engage again and again in meritorious deeds (good karma, any actions motivated by nongreed, nonhatred, and/or nondelusion). It is not every world that one has the opportunity to make good karma -- whether by negligence in superior worlds of pleasure or preoccupation with pain in inferior worlds.

Like attracts like: Good begets good, and bad begets bad. "Good" and "bad" are very unfortunate translations since we have an aversion to oversimplifications. Skillful, wholesome, profitable are all translations for kusala, the opposite being akusala.

These actions are not "rewarded" and "punished" as such; they follow an impersonal law of attraction. They rarely ripen immediately but are able to lay dormant for aeons. Therefore, one should not judge another as "good" or "bad" based on circumstances. For we all have seeds of good and bad, and any ripening is burning that karma off (exhausting the good and lightening our load of bad). The potential we have is incredible. The opportunity we have to do good now, to plant seeds now, to make the most of what we have is even more incredible.

That one should become a queen is not unusual. It would not be possible if she did not deserve it. Envying her or being jealous is demeritorious karma for us. Rejoicing in her good fortune, the ripening of former well done deeds, profitable and ripening in pleasure, is good karma for us now. Sovereignty in the human world is not a very high thing relative to other possibilities: it is short-lived, often mixed with strife, and uncertain.

That same good karma could have ripened in superior worlds where it would last longer, be purer, and be more stable. It is, to give a simile, like being beautiful only in elementary school as opposed to blossoming in high school. We would all wish to be beautiful everywhere at all times for all the benefits it brings, but life becomes more important and significant. For all the good it does Kate Middleton to become a real life princess (actually Duchess of Cambridge), how much better might her good karma have ripened later on?

We do not want to wait, desiring immediate gratification. But waiting would often benefit us, whereas rushing soon leaves us disappointed, unfulfilled, and un-actualized.

Will I Ever Find My Prince/Princess?
An elderly couple once came to the Buddha. They expressed their love for one another, having been promised in marriage to each other from a young age.

Their wish was to meet again, to be reborn together, to be a couple again. The Buddha told them how they could accomplish this and thereby become "twin flames" or "soul mates" in a future life:

The "ideal couple," as they were called, once came to the Buddha and said, "Venerable sir, we married after being acquainted from childhood, and there has never been a cloud on our happiness. Please tell us if we can be married in the next life?"

The Buddha answered, "If you both have exactly the same faith, both receive the same teaching [regarding morality] in exactly the same way, and if you have the same wisdom, then you will have the same mind in the next birth."

Whether or not all of this is done, those bonded by the karma of love and hate (attachment and aversion), will meet again as they have met many times. The business started now is not finished now but rises like flames out of embers again and again. Far wiser is it to let go, forgive, and abandon these habits unless we wish to again meet one another with an instant attraction or animosity.
