Why are Americans still unemployed?

Wisdom Quarterly
An American worker puts the final touches on a beautiful smile (@berto/Flickr.com).

"We can complain because rose bushes have thorns
Or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses"*

Aesthetic Realism states that there will be no economic "recovery" until economics -- making money, creating jobs -- itself becomes ethical, based on goodwill rather than on the common ill-will that has been dominant for centuries.

This grand view points to a road map that Republican B.S. Obama (judged on his actions not his public relations campaigns) for the U.S. economy.

What steps could be taken to create jobs? There are many. We have done it before. After disastrous wars of the past -- and we have pretty much been involved in conflict almost without interruption for 200 years, but these dots are not connected by mainstream history books even though information on most of our invasions, covert wars, conquests, and prolonged occupations are well documented -- we had recovery programs.

There was the G.I. Bill. There was a massive movement to employ artists. There was once even a space program. We built bridges, a massive highway system, reservoirs, scenic routes, a rich library system, civic institutions, all of which we collectively call "infrastructure." The world and we are happier when we focus within.

But some element in power -- a shadow government that pulls strings at the White House, Pentagon, CIA, and other centers of power -- prefers to look for happiness without.

What is the meaning of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? It certainly does not mean happiness. We are not happy, and we were never promised happiness. Just its pursuit. So let's pursue it here. And when we grow happy, strong, and fabulously affluent, lets help others with no strings attached.

The happiest man in the world according to science the Buddhist monk Matthieu Ricard

Those strings get us in a lot of trouble "policing" the world, subverting other governments, creating untold pollution and misery. Let's keep it in our pants. And our pockets will runneth over with riches to share with everyone around us. Is it a Cold War we need? Why not a Hot Peace? Let's wage peace!

And as the first act of peace, let's employ our own citizens to help our own citizens.
  • These roads need fixing.
  • These walls need painting.
  • These cities need planning.
  • These national parks need salvaging.
  • These corporations need regulating.
  • (Of course they don't want regulation, who does?)
  • The space above us needs exploring.
  • Plants need planting.
  • Farms need diversifying.
  • The environment needs cleaning.
  • Animals need caring.
  • Kids need raising by the community.
  • Teens need tutoring.
  • Prisoners need rehabilitating.
  • Parents need help.
  • Elders need teaching opportunities.
  • Bread needs baking.
And somewhere somehow there needs to be more candlestick making so we can all meditate (or pray) together in peace.... It's easy and natural.

So why are Americans still unemployed? It seems obvious.

This misery is the way the "powers that be" (which include the international bankers, the Obama administration, the war profiteers in their corporate jobs, the major industries, all of which may be referred to as, however secret its members may be, the "Military-Industrial Complex").

So before you find yourself at your neighbor's throat or blaming those darn economically-pressured immigrants, or becoming a violent xenophobe demanding a scapegoat (ala 1945), look for the real culprit. Nothing that is happening today is happening by accident or necessity. It's someone's plan. And THE PLAN is going well.

Would that they made another plan -- rather than blaming biblical prophecy and the angry, vengeful God of our Judeo-Christian society. There will never be peace without until there is peace within. So that puts the onus on us to peace out.

"The measure of a civilization is how it treats its weakest members."
  • And if your son/daughter is a CIA functionary or soldier, tell him/her to come home and stop following illegal orders to kill, disrupt, rape, terrorize, drug, and sow fear throughout the world.
Meditate, pray, play, discuss, debate, join together respectfully -- whatever peaceful means it takes to pursue happiness. Because the pursuit, also called the journey, is the happiness. Or as Buddhism likes to say: There is no way to happiness; happiness is the way!

Destroying Our Economy on Purpose

Wisdom Quarterly

A one hundred trillion dollar note (jimgottuso.wordpress.com). What happened to Zimbabwe when its economy collapsed and hyperinflation set in (cato.org)?

Remember, "Obama" is just a figurehead. He neither makes decisions nor chooses the course of events. His job is to make things sound palatable by wielding a carrot rather than Cheney-Bush's stick. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner goes along as well. Their scripts are written for them. And money is moved from wherever it is (e.g., US real estate, pension holdings, civil servants' salaries) into the personal accounts of corporations and individuals that will rule in the future. The "movers and shakers" remain unseen.

BREAKING NEWS! Lady Gaga no longer Number 1 on Facebook, overtaken by superstar Rihanna

Bankers, Pentagon officials, CIA agents, billionaires, nagas, asuras, "Illuminati," dynasties, royal bloodlines, members of secret societies, moguls -- it hardly matters who sits at the throne, the helm of any country's economy. Banker A.M. Rothschild put it succinctly: "Permit me to issue and control the money of the nation and I care not who makes its laws." While we argue left/right, Republican/Democrat, heathen/Christian, conservative/liberal, our country is being undermined. Our experiment in democracy has gone from the hands of the people to a government of the powerful, by the powerful (Koch Brothers, etc.), for the powerful.

What is the Obama Administration Planning for the Dollar?

(Dl.PrisonPlanet.TV) In an explosive interview on PBS’ Bill Moyers Journal, professor of economics and law with the University of Missouri William K. Black alleged that American banks and credit agencies conspired to create a system in which so-called “liars loans” could receive AAA ratings and zero oversight, amounting to a massive “fraud” at the epicenter of US finance. [It was done on purpose to create a massive transfer of wealth.] More

"Barry O'Bama" dazzles Ireland (video)

With a forged birth certificate, anything's possible for Baraig Barry Soetoro O'Bama

DUBLIN, Ireland (CNN) - Thousands of jubilant Irishmen and women gave U.S. President Barack Obama a virtual hero's welcome Monday, embracing him as one of their own in a visit that included a campaign-style speech in downtown Dublin and a stop at the president's ancestral home.

Addressing an estimated crowd of 25,000 people at Dublin's famed College Green, Obama praised the "centuries-old relationship" between Ireland and America, and said he had traveled to Ireland "to reaffirm those bonds of affection."

The stop came on the first day of Obama's six-day, four-country European tour, which will also take the president to Britain, France and Poland. More (with VIDEO)

The Global Finance Connection
Wisdom Quarterly (COMMENTARY)

MONEYGALL, Ireland - Icelandic volcano eruption welcomes O'Bama to Europe again. There's a wee bit o' Irish in just about everyone now. The devas that hybridized humans on the Emerald Isle, with their strange red hair and freckled translucent skin not accustomed to our decreasingly filtered sunlight (thanks to environmental degradation and atmospheric deterioration), ventured far. The new gene sequences even made it into future World Leader Barry O'Bama and previous dictator Dick Cheney and others.

It's a long way for green to go, but we are all one human race. And that includes our extraterrestrial forebears. Yes, there are relations all over the galaxy, but even if revealed on a large scale, it will be too hard to believe.

Meanwhile, on a small scale: It's no accident who gets selected to rule. Karma plays a major role, and the powers that be know it. So bloodlines, horoscopes, speaking abilities, and grooming go a long way.

Unfortunately, so does the governing war mentality, the long history of naga (reptile-hybrid) influence, and the survival of world mythological traditions that hold the essence of the story in our awareness.

Why is O'Bama in Ireland...is there an economic connection? Ruling the world means ruling money, banking, and high finance. With the coming economic collapse, the fall of the dollar that precipitates a rearrangement of the [Brave New] World Order:

The People's Budget (cartoon)

Tax the rich? There would be no national debt if corporations paid their share of taxes and the US stopped its imperial wars ("This Modern World" by Tom Tomorrow).

Where is our tax money going? A third war overseas, and our congressmen have decided to increase the already-inflated defense budget. All told, over $1 Trillion will be spent on the U.S. military over the next year, while funds are cut from social services and education. With less federal support, state budgets are in the red. Local governments blame the unions and -- as in Wisconsin -- are peddling legislation to weaken our rights. Thousands of teachers will be laid off.

As we point out in our new documentary, Crossing the American Crises: From Collapse to Action, the nation’s priorities are skewed.

Inequality continues to rise. Homes are boarded up while homeless sleep on the streets. The sick are still turned away because of a lack of health care. The banks are bailed out, while the people are left to suffer. Hardworking Americans pay the bulk in taxes, while multimillionaires hide their assets abroad. Corporations are subsidized or encouraged to move their production overseas. We are gutting the American dream -- if there ever was one.

But there are answers. As The Nation pointed out last week, the Congressional Progressive Caucus has drafted a "People's Budget," which members, Representative Michael M. Honda (D-CA) and Representative Raul M. Grijalva (D-AZ) say, “eliminates the deficit, stabilizes the debt, puts Americans back to work, and restores our economic competitiveness.” More
