Psychedelic Research: LSD for depression, autism

Wisdom Quarterly, CoasttoCoastAM.com

Dr. James Fadiman, who has been involved with psychedelic research since the 1960s, joined Ian Punnett on Sept. 24, 2011 to discuss the newest research into the psychotherapeutic value of visionary drug use.

Psychedelics can be effective at micro-doses that have no intoxicating effects that are nevertheless medicinal. They have the capacity to increase personal awareness, produce spiritual epiphanies, and treat a host of serious medical conditions. Before it was banned LSD was in fact the most researched psychiatric drug on the planet, according to Dr. Fadiman.

Dr. Fadiman on Coast to Coast 9/24/11

The compound, which grows naturally and is derived from ergot fungi on rye, was first synthesized in 1938. It is effective in miniscule doses at only millionths of a gram, he stated, adding that mainstream researchers used LSD therapeutically to treat common neuroses, alcoholism, and even autism before it was banned in 1966.

Among hardcore alcoholics there was a 50% success rate. The efficacy rate was even higher for those with autism, he noted.

  • Curiously, according to the doctor, the main effect of LSD occurs after the drug itself has left the body.
It is thought to work by opening up one's "awareness capacity." Religious Studies scholar Dr. Huston Smith learned this after taking LSD and having an experience that confirmed what he understood to be at the core of all religious faiths, Fadiman explained.

"Psychedelics give you a kind of a different view of everything... they take you much more into observing your life," he said.

A recent study at UCLA demonstrates how this inner journey can help people diagnosed with terminal cancer. Psilocybin, according to Fadiman, is a drug similar to LSD that has successfully been used to treat anxiety in late-stage cancer patients. Source

Sugar Shock: It's a "Drug"! (video)

Wisdom Quarterly, Nutrition by Natalie,
(weheartit.com)

How much sugar do we consume? Americans might be surprised just how much sugar there is in everyday drinks and foods. I reveal the shocking truth about how much sugar we are eating.

Sugar is a highly processed chemical

Common things like soft drinks, Starbucks, McDonald's, fast foods, alcohol -- they are all FULL of addictive sugar.

Let's look closely at how much sugar there is in "healthy" orange juice, blueberry muffins, Pop Tarts, Lucky Charms, BBQ sauce, Coca Cola, Gatorade, frappuccino mocha coffee, chocolate cake desserts, and more.

Top 10 Worst Foods

There is a relationship between sugar/high fructose corn syrup to hunger, weight gain, obesity, low energy, inflammation, digestive troubles, depression, exhaustion, brittle bones, bad teeth, diabetes, cancer, and bad health. This is an eye-opener even for people not on a diet.

Sugar: a Class A drug?
BodyMindSuccess.com
We know the effects of sugar are not good. But to what degree do we know? I thought I had a pretty good understanding, but after watching this video and the series of videos listed below, it has become clear that there is much more I didn’t know. For example, sugar is the Number One addiction -- above cocaine and other addictive drugs. Sugar contributes to weight gain, sure, but “sugar” is disguised in many forms. Sugar affects many things (cancer, low sugar, diabetes, insulin insensitivity, inflammatory conditions, hunger, vision, insomnia, malnutrition, aging...). More

BREAKUP: "Be Gentle With Me" (comedy)

Wisdom Quarterly

"Be gentle with me, oh oh, be gentle with me...please be gentle with me, handle with care, be gentle with me...or I shall kick your teeth in."

Breaking up is hard to do, they say. But it depends. It certainly is if one repeatedly reflects on the appealing qualities of the lost person.

However, if one were to from to time consider and reflect on the unappealing aspects, that clinging and pining would vanish.

One would become disenchanted, disillusioned, dispassionate. And then it would be possible to be freed. There is, of course, a trap. If one pushes away from the pain, that is just as dangerous as clinging to the pleasant in the first place. Aversion is as hard to deal with as undue attraction.

"Garden of Love" (Benny Hill)

Hate quickly replaces love -- without displacing it. One is then attached and angry, hurt and seeking some way of ridding oneself of the pain, the memory, the intrusive thoughts.

Wise reflection (yoniso manasikara) sees things as they truly are -- neither ignoring the bad nor exaggerating the good.

With freedom comes laughter again. Everything is funny. Everything is light. Everything is fine just as it is, because fine/not-fine is all in the mind that judges it so. With a different decision, the world seems to change. There is no out there without an in here.

Laugh, and the whole world laughs with you. Cry, and you can cry alone. (Misery loves company, but the company soon wearies of les contagious miserable).

Be sure to have the number to cancel.

White terrorist kills to lay blame on Muslims

Wisdom Quarterly
Who faked a Facebook profile for the white mass murderer encouraging others? Are the clandestine services trying to inspire copycat crimes? (solidprinciples.com)

Anders Behring Breivik is a white, 32 year old, pro-Israel, Norwegian Christian man who has already allegedly confessed to murdering 90+ people in Norway. He carried out the planned terrorist attack by first bombing government offices in an attempt to assassinate the prime minister -- then shooting scores of students with an automatic weapon on a nearby island during a political youth retreat on July 22, 2011 while dressed as a police officer.

He had written a 1,500 page "manifesto" encouraging others. It was a "false flag" attack: His motive was to have Muslims blamed for it and massacred in retaliation by Christian Europeans. He has claimed that his acts -- common in state-sponsored violence/war and PsyOps/propaganda -- mean he is not a "criminal."

Spiritual Autism?

Wisdom Quarterly
(StoryCorps)

Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are widespread and increasing exponentially. [They are almost certainly caused by toxic load, usually consisting of unmanageable heavy metals, from the environmental in general and vaccinations (excipients) in particular.]

The shadow government does it on purpose while ordinary government outlets scramble to deny, dismiss, and discredit claims that anything it is involved in could be causing harm to citizens. This has made the use of vaccine in children an enormous controversy. The CIA's recent abuse of vaccinations to secretly target and kill Pakistani suspects.

Most victims have Asperger's, a potentially mild form of introversion. Autism means auto-ism or overly focusing on the self to the exclusion of the social environment. It is seen in children, particularly after massive doses of vaccinations have been administered for convenience and profit without informing parents of the danger of combining many useful and useless vaccinations, particularly live strains. (Vaccination may be a wonderful thing, but things added to them like thiomersal are extremely toxic).
  • Epidemiological reviews estimate a rate of one to two cases per 1,000 people for autism, and about six per 1,000 for autism spectrum disorders.[Ref] This may be a gross underestimate of ASD's true prevalence.[Ref] ASD averages a 4.3:1 male-to-female ratio. The number of children known to have autism has increased dramatically since the 1980s.
Mild autism and neuroticism may in fact help one's practice of the spiritual path. The temporary social isolation, withdrawal, seclusion, and intense focus is certainly made easier.

We know of a female with apparent Asperger's who used this condition to her advantage in college (excelling in academic activities requiring intense focus and abstract conceptualization) and meditation. She was able to ride her ability to focus and her aversion to social situations to the mastery of the meditative-absorptions (jhanas), insight-practices (vipassana), and initial stages of enlightenment (stream entry). She is now free in the most profound sense of the word. And it both gives hope to those living with autism (which is actually curable through intense chelation if promptly undertaken by an experienced alternative healing practitioner) and an indication to everyone's practice: Intense focus and setting everything else aside is the way to sudden progress; thereafter, one reintegrates into life. Unfortunately, most of us are taught that the path of enlightenment is ordinary life, for which there is no textual support. Ordinary people do not become enlightened by leading an ordinary life; however, people who become enlightened may very well lead ordinary lives. Ancient texts illustrate this again and again. Modern teachers misrepresent the path again and again, as if to please audiences who crave something out of the ordinary or who on the verge of practicing in accordance with the historical Buddha's teachings.

World Today: Girls Become Sex Abusers

Wisdom Quarterly

In another sign of the impending apocalypse (that on the one hand shortens human lifespan but on the other hand "lifts the veil"), females are increasing on the abuser end of sexual misconduct. Long the domain of those in power, as females gain in status and privilege, they are increasingly prone to the pitfalls of social power.

It is not that males are more abusive by nature. They are filled with ideas of privilege, given a sense that they have a birthright by virtue of our sex, the right to exercise power and control, which usually stems from fear or insecurity. What are we afraid of? Intimacy, loss of control... What are females trying to gain through abuse? Safety, control, satisfaction...

The truth about cats and dogs: "The hurt hurt." Those abused often become abusive.

Sex differences are not fixed traits. They are mutable states. Even if one is a certain way from birth, the cause may be traced back to prior lives and habits. We condition our future in the same way. Those actions we will and carry out become habits and character traits, not by nature but by careless repetition.

How else would one explain the choices made by these young Midwestern teens?

Teen Girls Accused of Sexually Abusing Special Needs Boy

April Kutcha, 16, to be tried as adult

VALPARAISO, Indiana (KTLA.com) - A 16-year old girl will be tried as an adult after she and another teenager allegedly held a special needs boy against his will and sexually assaulted him.

The prosecutor's office filed four felony charges against 16-year-old April Kuchta including criminal confinement, sexual battery, and intimidation in connection with the attack.

The second suspect, a 14-year old girl, will be tried as a juvenile.

Investigators say Kuchta and the other teenager lured a developmentally disabled 17-year-old to come to Kuchta's home where they handcuffed him and jabbed him repeatedly with a knife.

According to court records, the victim told police that they recorded him on a cell phone doing and saying things against his will and Kuchta touched him sexually.

After leaving him handcuffed and covered with a blanket for two hours, the girls allegedly invited others over to witness the incident, according to local TV station WBBM. Kuchta is being held in Porter County Jail without bond. Source
Of course, the matter is not limited to teens. Sexual molestation by female adults is increasing or more widely reported, particularly in schools. That women would behave the same as men have traditionally behaved should come as no surprise -- unless we think the actions stem from traits rather than states. As women find themselves wielding powers, privileges, and discretionary income customarily confined to men, we should perhaps expect to see more not fewer stories like this:

Politician’s Wife Jailed for Mother-Daughter “Sex Triangle” with 13-Year-Old Boy
Wishididntknow.com

(Daily Mail, April 10, 2011) The middle-aged wife of an Arizona politician has been jailed for 13 years for a three year affair with a teenage boy.

Susan Brock began grooming the boy with presents such as an Xbox when he was just 11 years old.

The mother-of-three began having sex with the teen when he was 13 years old, and their affair continued until he was 17 years as she attempted to mold him into her "toyboy" [boy-toy] lover.

At the same time as she was sleeping with the teenager, her 18 year old daughter was also having sex with the boy. ["Like mother like daughter," we'll someday be saying.]

Rachel Brock will go on trial later this year but is likely to get a lesser sentence on her underage sex charges.

The mother-daughter sex triangle was revealed as Brock, 49, was jailed after pleading guilty to three counts of attempted sexual conduct.

Brock wept in court as she apologized for her behavior, which is said to have left her victim, now aged 17, suffering from "inescapable depression."

Her husband Fulton, who filed for divorce after his wife’s arrest on sex charges, is Supervisor in Maricopa County, Arizona.

Prosecutors had said church-going Brock was a predatory mom who had picked out the son of a family friend to satisfy her sexual desires.

She began molesting the boy when he was 14 years old with encounters often taking place in her Lexus car and at her home in Chandler, Arizona.

The [formerly] dark-haired homemaker also helped the teen have sex with his girlfriend and even supplied them with a "sex kit" including condoms. Brock’s three year affair came to light after her teen lover’s girlfriend told his parents.

Brock had been charged with 15 counts of abusing the teen, but under a plea deal reached in January pleaded guilty to three lesser charges. More
  • An apocalypse (Greek, apokálypsis, "lifting of the veil" or "revelation") is a disclosure of something hidden from the majority of humankind in an era dominated by falsehood and misconception, that is, the veil to be lifted. The Apocalypse of John is the famous but apocryphal Book of Revelation, the last book of the New Testament or Christian "Bible."
