Today B.S. (Barry Soetoro) Obama addressed the nation to pander to what pollsters and his PR firm told him people wanted to hear, particularly Republicans. He said it -- jobs, jobs, jobs for everyone. Cut corporate taxes. Cut the deficit. Minimize government. Fix the roads. Free money for all. Raw-raw-raw, we're Number One! USA, USA, USA, USA!

And for all that, concession man got only yawns of disinterest from his new party. Maybe his dissemblance and mendacity have worn thin his message. No one believes it anymore... except the corporations who (s)elected him and stand to benefit the most.

He is so clearly misleading by oration, making empty promises, uttering almost the opposite of what he knows to be true, all for what? To be re(s)elected? To buoy the jobless. To stick it to the opposition? The mainstream media must have had advanced notice and have their spin-doctoring and supportive propaganda ready to go. Let the onslaught begin.

The history of U.S. intelligence since World War II follows both patterns. The Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the CIA's predecessor, had jurisdiction over wartime covert operations and propaganda in the fight against fascism.

OSS chief William Donovan recruited heavily among social and academic elites. When the CIA was launched in 1947 at the beginning of the Cold War, these pioneers felt that they had both the right and the duty to secretly manipulate the masses for the greater good.



OSS veteran Frank Wisner ran most of the early peacetime covert operations as head of the Office of Policy Coordination. Although funded by the CIA, OPC was not integrated into the CIA's Directorate of Plans until 1952, under OSS veteran Allen Dulles.

There is no petition. There is no need to call our Congress person. The fix is in. In a cynical ploy, B.S. Obama got what he wanted, what he was told to do, adopting a position to the right of Republicans.

It's cynical because most of us still believe our president is a liberal, someone interested in the welfare of the majority of Americans.

China owns most of our national debt, which ensures a .war of biblical proportions between the U.S. and the Red Army. (Revelation, which outlines the behavior of Judeo-Christian movers and shakers like a game plan, "a strategy worked out in advance," needs a standing army of a million soldiers, and only China qualifies).

• Will it be financial "Armageddon," a war over water, or a war with the only force that could challenge the world's most violent imperial power, the US?
  

He is on office (and was selected to be in office by more business contributions than any other candidate in history) to protect the powers that be -- the rich, politically influential military-industrial complex.

That body is not a single unit but arms of a self-serving group of unelected decision makers and multinational oil executives and others. (Car companies are vested in oil and make profits not from their car sales but from the fuel that powers them, like phone companies that make money from calling plans not phone devices themselves).

Which others? The powers behind mainstream media outlets that spin and repeat stories about what is going on and what it means. Economy tanking? No, it's just that peak oil is valuable, and we need to pay a hidden tax by paying not only more for gas but an added fuel cost to everything, which also means losing our jobs and the social support programs that prevent breadlines and Wall Street suicides infamous during the Great Depression.

Cheney-Bush passed the Patriot Act to curtail our civil rights, and B.S. Obama pitched our enslavement to banking interests.

Greenwashing: False "Green" Claims (video)

(Living Green Channel) For big business, going "green" has become the trendy and profitable thing to do: On the shelves of any store we can find products that boast "green" claims -- eco-friendly, energy-efficient, organic, partially recycled.

But how many of these claims do you think are either partly untrue or completely false? If you guessed that 99.9% are false, you are correct! It's called whitewashing, only it's green. But the only green thing about them is the money to be made as corporations go green with envy for natural product companies' gains in market share.

According to a study from Terrachoice Environmental Marketing, out of 1,018 common consumer products reviewed, only one product did not commit one of the "Six Sins of Greenwashing."

When looking for an eco-friendly product that actually backs up its claims by being good for the planet, where can we turn?

Unfortunately this study shows that these products do not exist. Here's why: According to Terrachoice's research, over 50% of products tested with "eco-friendly" labels fail to mention the enormous environmental drawbacks such as containing hazardous waste and travel costs.

These need to be factored in when considering to buy and eco-friendly product. For example, even eco-popular CFL (Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs) contain mercury. This means they cannot be thrown away in the trash. (They are hazardous waste that need to be disposed of properly or they will pollute the environment). Moreover, 90% of them have been manufactured and shipped from China! This is called the "sin of hidden trade-off" by Terrachoice.

Think of it this way. No matter which way you slice it, a can of soda will never be good for our health or the health of the environment. Diet soda has replaced the [14 teaspoons per can of] corn and cane sugar with an artificial sweetener that has proven to be an excito-toxin and a known carcinogen. In many cases the diet sodas still contain excessive amounts of caffeine, artificial chemicals: colorings, flavors, phthalates (from the plastic lining inside the aluminum can). Forget the nonexistent nutritional value of carbonated and sweetened chemicals harmful to our health.

When we factor in a manufactured can that needs to be recycled and the travel costs, what is the impact on our health and the environment?

But by calling their products "green," companies are making a mint. Let's take a stand against greenwashing.
