Scientist, filmmaker, and mystic ecologist David Sereda was on the radio last night (9/27/11) talking about his development of a faster than light speed radio communications device. It does not use radio waves, which travel much more slowly than light speed.

It utilizes organic minerals and crystals to create tiny wormholes capable of amplifying normal waves. Major hints about how the technology operates were given, but the exact details remain secret. He communicates with entities in the Pleiades, although an astronomer called in to say that was impossible. The caller was rebuffed as Sereda pointed out that he well understood not only the mechanics of communication but also of cosmography. Terms such as Pleiades may be imperfect but they are not used ignorant of what science means by them.

TRANSLATOR'S NOTE: Since my translation of the Buddhist Genesis document appeared in the January Monist, I have found that Rockhill rendered it from the Tibetan in 1884. (Life of the Buddha and Early History of His Order. Translated from the Tibetan. By W. Woodville Rockhill. London, Trübner's Oriental Series, 1884). I had known this book for years, but it escaped me when making the Genesis translation and also in my Buddhist Bibliography (London, 1903). In Rockhill's volume the Genesis document comes at the very beginning. Like the Sanskritized Prâkrit version used by me, it belongs to the Vinaya Pitaka. The Tibetan Canon is that of the sect of Realists (Sarvastivada), whose account of the compilation of the Scriptures was translated by Suzuki, also in the January Monist. There are two versions of the Genesis document in the Tibetan Vinaya Pitaka: A short one in the Vinaya-vastu (corresponding in part to the Pâli Mahâvaggo), and a long one (translated by Rockhill) in the Vinaya-Vibhâga (Pâli Bhikkhu-Vibhanga). The Theravâda sect, who have handed down the Pâli Tripitaka, do not place this document in the Vinaya, but in the Sûtra Pitaka. Thus do we prove the truth of the Island Chronicle of Ceylon, which says that the Realists, the Great Council, and many other sects, made recensions of the Canon to suit themselves. We must never forget that the Pâli, though the oldest version of the Canon known, is by no means the only one. The Mahâsamghika (Great Council) school also claims to be the oldest, and their Book of Discipline has come down to us in a fifth-century Chinese translation. Suzuki also gave us extracts from this, and we saw therefrom that they had no Abhidharma. This looks as if their Canon belonged to an earlier period than the Pâli, for the Abhidharma was in the nature of commentary, and was compiled after the Buddhists had split up into sects. We know that one ancient sect, the Sautrântikas (i.e., Sûtra-men) refused to admit the canonicity of the Abhidharma and were content with the Sûtra-Pitaka. Moreover, the Great Council sect not only tabooed the Abhidharma, but they also had a very short recension of the Fifth Nikâya. This collection, known as the Khuddaka (Short) in Pâli, was called the Miscellaneous Pitaka by other sects, and consisted largely of commentaries. The Great Council refused to canonize these commentaries, but admitted into it only the Udâna, the Itivuttka, and the Nidâna. It is high time that Japanese scholars translated the books of this early rival sect, which may yet be proved to be older than the Pâli.

Buddhism: Life on other Planets?

In the (Tri-Pitaka, Three Parts of the) Buddha's teaching (Vol. 11, p. 61 and Vol. 23, sutanta pidok 25, Thai edition), the Buddha talks about life on other planets. He refers to life on three planets in particular: (1) Amornrakoyan, (2) Buppaviteha, and (3) Auttrarakuru.

1. The first has a continent (dipa, lit. "island") and an ocean. The dominant life form there is human like but the beings there have faces that look like the moon. The beings there are [on average]10 feet (300 centimeters) tall and their life span is 500 years.

2. The second has a continent and about 400 smaller continents or isles. The beings there are human like but their faces look like cups. They are 15 feet (450 cm) tall and their life span is 700 years.

3. The third are flatlands with human like life forms with faces that look more cubical. They are 21 feet (650 cm) tall and their life span is 1,000 years.

This information comes from Mr. Terran. He is a Buddhist studying the Tripitaka (a generic name for the Buddha's teaching divided into three segments -- conventional discourses (Dharma, sutras), discipline (vinaya), and "higher teachings" called (Abhi-dharma).

• Modern readers may not believe this ancient cosmography. Who can say what is real or whether or not the Buddha really said this or that or simply had it attributed to him? One can ask monastics, scholars, and practitioners about what is recorded in the texts. The oldest existing Buddhist tradition is from Southeast Asia and is called Theravada ("Teaching of the Elders," the "elders" being the enlightened disciples of the Buddha's time. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Central Asian, and Tibetan traditions are called Mahayana ("Great Vehicle") -- which, not coincidentally, are very Christian -- are later developments with many changes and additions.

Oceanrider likes this post and would like to know more. What I know about Buddhism is Buddhists like to use metaphors to explain things. When I went to a Buddhist temple, the teacher was very confidently explaining spirituality using the metaphor of computer equipment accessing a network. Briefly, the Tripitaka contains three divisions: ethics (vinaya), conventional teachings (sutras or "discourses"), and higher teachings (knowledge books).

• Cube: a physical record or knowledge (knowledge books).

After a while my camera was full and stopped recording. Then I saw the one on the right go to the left one, going over that light and slowly disappearing. The one on the left stayed there showing me colors. I was looking at that one, but after a while I looked away very quickly toward my camera, only for a second. [It seemed to know I had looked away because] when I looked back, it disappeared too.



I knew I had caught them on camera. I am now emptying my camera so that maybe tonight I will look and see if I can catch them again. Thanking them in advance [cultivating gratitude in advance], I hope they will appear for a third time and show themselves to me. Because the way I got them to appear in the first place was by asking them yesterday in front of my window. That is how they appeared.

It is like the "days of old" when the Nephilim (the Judeo-Christian "sons of god" or Buddhist devaputras) created "men of renown" (epic heroes) by mating with the "wives of men" (human females).

Is there an "alien base" on the Moon? More and more people are coming forward with stories and proof that this is true. Rumors suggest the base is on the far side of the Moon, the side never seen from Earth.

Why did our Moon landings stop instead of leading to humanity building a lunar base? It is far easier than a floating space station with no access to any raw materials or supplies. It is easier to launch craft to other planets or out of the solar system from the Moon.

According to NASA astronaut Neil Armstrong, space aliens have a base on the Moon and told us in no uncertain terms to get off and stay off the Moon! Sound far fetched?

Milton Cooper, a naval intelligence officer, says that not only does the alien Moon base exist, but the U.S. naval intelligence community refers to it as "Luna." The Judeo-Christian "God" (who sounds like a Zoroastrian asura, or titan, more than a benevolent creator of the cosmos) may not be to blame for earthquakes. But it seems some extraterrestrial titans (called "demons" in later Buddhist cosmology because of their ongoing war against devas from their new home base Earth) might well have provided the advanced technology to humans.



Such technology -- first channeled to Nikola Tesla, as he himself reported, from an extraterrestrial residing on Mars. (He himself is accused of being an ET from Venus, perhaps to mock his claim that he was literally receiving messages from Mars).



In any case, he was a great genius. And all of his work was preserved and has been developed and used in secret, while Alexander Graham Bell and others get all the credit. This technology includes "free energy" machines used by the shadow US government as well as the world government (as led by Germany and Britain), but that is another story altogether. HAARP is an array of antennae several nations possess and use to manipulate weather and wage war in secret, calling its effects "natural disasters." A synonymous phrase for a "natural disaster" is an "act of God."



"God" (Brahma, Ahura Mazda, Allah, YHWH, El, and the many "gods" of the so-called monotheistic Judeo-Christian Bible, Old and New Testaments) here never really means The GOD (Brahman, the ineffable, the reality behind the illusion, the famous "I am that I am").



It refers more to a Greek demigods/Roman pantheon/Indian devas understanding of advanced extraterrestrials who visit, mate with, experiment on, evolve (genetically manipulate), educate, and rule through divine rite of hybrid humans. These "gods" (akasha devas, nagas, and asuras) and their messenger "angels" (gandharvas) might indeed "punish" and preserve, help and harm humanity.



One would not think that Buddhism or older Vedic Brahmanism (now surviving under the general name "Hinduism") supports Zoroastrian, Egyptian, Sumerian, and Judeo-Christian mythologies -- but it does. Fortunately, it gives much fuller and sensible explanations for what many other traditions have wrought into fragments and nonsense filler.

Wisdom Quarterly: American Buddhist Journal is blue in token of one of the many species in space, as described by the visionary author of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series Douglas Adams. Humans are but one life form on Earth, once thought nearly inconsequential. They are revealed to be part of a greater plan as part of the intricate matrix of a large computing device incorporating organic life. Of course, the strange ape-like creatures roaming the computer's surface have no idea. But out in the vastness of space, there are even stranger expressions of life, such as the Hooloovoo:

• Hooloovoo are a hyperintelligent shade of the color blue. Little is known of them, except that one participated in the construction of the starship Heart of Gold. At the launching ceremony one was temporarily refracted into a free-standing prism. This is probably analogous to the ceremonial multicolored lab coats worn by the rest of the team.

Profiling ExoPlanets: Zeroing in on an alien planet Earth

A hint: it has varying shades of a color known as "blue." A NASA-sponsored team of scientists looking back at Earth with the Deep Impact/EPOXI mission have developed a totally intuitive method to pinpoint whether Earth-like alien worlds beyond our solar system have oceans. The Daily Show could have fun with this.

• Humans are bipedal creatures from Earth, and the third most intelligent species on that planet, surpassed only by mice and dolphins. Originally thought to have evolved from proto-apes, humans may in fact be descendants of Golgafrinchan telephone sanitizers, account executives, and marketing analysts who were tricked out of leaving their home planet to arrive on the planet circa 2,000,000 BC. These Golgafrinchans apparently displaced the indigenous cavemen as the organic components in the computer designed by Deep Thought. Interestingly, although the term "humanoid" is applied to many races throughout the galaxy, "humanity" refers specifically to the qualities of humans.
• Haggunenons of Vicissitus Three were encountered in the fit the sixth of the radio series when Ford and Zaphod attempted to steal an Admiral's flagship from the Restaurant at the End of the Universe. According to the Guide, the Haggunenons "have the most impatient chromosomes in the Galaxy. Whereas most species are content to evolve slowly and carefully over thousands of generations, discarding a prehensile toe here, [...] hazarding another nostril there, the Haggunenons would have done for Charles Darwin what a squadron of Arcturan Stunt Apples would have done for Sir Isaac Newton. Their genetic structure is based on the quadruple sterated octohelix...." Their tendency to evolve almost instantaneously has the downside of discarding one deficiency for another. For example, when they reach for sugar for their coffee, they may evolve "into something with much longer arms, but which is probably perfectly incapable of drinking the coffee." They resent stable species, and wage war on them in their horribly beweaponed chameleoid black battle cruisers. The Haggunenon Admiral turned out to have been sleeping on his flagship in the form of a chair while Ford, Arthur, Zaphod, Trillian and Marvin returned it to its proper time and place at the vanguard of an invasion fleet. It then evolved into a copy of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal, from which Ford and Arthur were able to escape, but which ate Marvin, Trillian and Zaphod. Those three later made their escape when the admiral evolved into an escape capsule. This monster also appears in the "Dungeons and Dragons Epic Level Handbook" as the Hagunemnon. • Hingefreel are a race with only a very small mention, at the start of Chapter 1 of the novel Mostly Harmless. Hailing from Arkintoofle Minor, they built spaceships powered by bad news, which is the only thing that travels faster than light. Their ships were very fast, but didn't work particularly well, and were extremely unwelcome wherever they arrived.
• Hrarf-Hrarf are a race of beings whose lifespans flow backwards in linear time. Their lives begin at death, and end "in a really quite extraordinarily pleasant birth." They are also described as the "only race known actually to enjoy hangovers, because they know it guarantees that a tremendously good evening will ensue."
