This summer, Austrian law student Max Schrems asked Facebook to send him all the data they had on him.

What he received was a massive 1,200-page file. But that wasn’t the biggest surprise. He discovered that the social networking site had kept data he had deleted from his account, like messages and photos, and for its own use, they imported contacts from his personal e-mail account, all of this without his knowledge.

Now, Schrems has lodged 22 complaints against Facebook for data protection breaches. WRS’s Dave Goodman talks to social network specialist Olivier Glassey, a senior lecturer and sociologist at the University of Lausanne, who says that he is not at all surprised.

Senator Daniel K. Inouye (Hawaii) in 1987 Chaired the Senate Select Committee on Secret Military Assistance to Iran and the Nicaraguan Opposition, which held public hearings on the Iran-Contra affair. Senator Inouye summarized its involvement by saying:

"There exists a shadowy government with its own Air Force, its own Navy, its own fundraising mechanism, and the ability to pursue its own ideas of the national interest, free from all checks and balances, and free from the law itself."

The full-length (90 min.) version of Bill Moyer's 1987 scathing critique of criminal subterfuge in the United States. It is carried out by the executive branch of the US government. A hidden and secretive group carries out operations that are clearly contrary to the wishes and values of the American people, their elected representatives, and most arms of the military and law enforcement.

The ability to exercise this power with impunity is facilitated by the National Security Act of 1947. The thrust of the exposé is the Iran-Contra arms and government drug-running operations. (It is impossible to win a war against a tactic, but that's the point -- endless war).

The ruling unelected regime in the US has insisted on the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq (and the destabilization of China, Japan, Iran, Libya, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Bahrain, Iran, North Korea, and any other state or stateless entity it determines is blocking its ambition total dominance sometimes referred to as the New World Order or the realization of Biblical Revelation). The same regime is now banging the war drum against the Muslim Brotherhood because it needs an inexhaustible "enemy" (having lost its Cold War partner with the fall of the USSR).

The subterfuge is legal as well as extralegal. The PATRIOT ACT, launched by Cheney/Bush and ratified (unread) by a very cooperative and fearful elected government, has stripped us of many of our basic civil rights. This is justified by the terror of 9/11, which was the shadow government's own doing.

The TSA, FEMA, Homeland Security, and other such institutions are engaged in abuses to prepare the public for living in a police state without end and without the necessity of false flag operations to secure our cooperation.

Lawyers think amorally, that is, pragmatically. That means there isn't much to think about. It's either do as I'm told or cease to hold office. So by that measure, B.O. is a good president, not much worse than the others. He daily betrays the public by portraying himself as a man of change when the policies he is forced to back are more draconian than Pres. Cheney-Bush, who were not legitimately elected either.

(WND) President Obama's mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, told the U.S. government she would home school her son using U.S.-approved textbooks during the period she moved the family to Indonesia.

Dunham, however, broke her pledge. She enrolled the future president in Indonesian schools, where he was registered as a Muslim going by the name "Barry Soetoro."

Dunham's pledge to home school Obama was part of an ongoing attempt to secure an immigration department waiver so her second husband, Indonesian citizen Lolo Soetoro, could return to the U.S. after his visa had expired.

Because Obama's mother's first husband was married already (according to the AP) when he married Ms. Dunham, he was not legally Barack Husein Obama Jr.

He is the great communicator. Does this mean Obama/Soetoro is not "president"? Well, only if one means "of the United States of America." He is apparently president of the corporation, which has its own secret rules. Violations of the rules the country's founders established have been going on since the time of George Washington.

In any case, a man with serious drug abuse (cocaine, crack), homosexual behavior (with Larry Sinclair), and criminal conspiracies to cover these up is not going to be worried about technicalities.

The important thing is that he is easily manipulated by blackmail (and other dissolute means) by those who can at any time reveal his secret. For the job of the imperial presidency is, according to Douglas Adams, not to wield power but to draw attention away from it.

(CNET) The Chinese military wants to beef up its cyber-defense efforts as it anticipates greater threats originating from the U.S.

"The U.S. military is hastening to seize the commanding military heights on the Internet, and another Internet war is being pushed to a stormy peak," the Chinese military wrote in its official newspaper, Liberation Army Daily.

"Their actions remind us that to protect the nation's Internet security, we must accelerate Internet defense development and accelerate steps to make a strong Internet army."

Though Liberation Army Daily isn't an official mouthpiece for the Chinese government, Reuters, which first reported on the story, points out that it typically reflects the official opinion of China's ruling party. More

Is it the CIA?

The best evidence pointing a finger at the CIA is twofold. It has easy access (through the NSA, Google, Facebook, misconstruing the Patriot Act, as well as subversive and clandestine means such as co-opting arrested hackers), and what it stands to gain is enormous. It would gain a blanket cover story, with plausible deniability for itself as the source.

In this way it can accuse China, or any other convenient cyber "terrorist" group it wants to target for "retaliation," all the while explaining how American citizens lost our privacy. CIA Agent Phillip Agee explained how it's done in general. In particular, My Lai and Ben Tre* revealed CIA involvement prompting the US military during the U.S. war on Vietnam:

"We had to destroy [privacy] in order to save it."

The CIA has followed the same tactics in the Americas (Agee himself being involved in them) and is following them today in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, and Yemen. Why not one more front, the Web itself?

And the blame is put on an "anonymous" hacker group to show that, far from being the perpetrator, the CIA is the victim of malicious hacks humiliating it. Remedy? Orwellian clampdown? All out cyber-war?

It's not clear how this "settles" anything. It might have been better to convincingly answer why it was so hard to produce this evidence until now, or to explain why millions of dollars were spent on behalf of Obama to cover his history and paper trail. Try to interview anyone or to follow his meteoric rise from a poor school in Hawaii to Harvard. The best explanation was provided by Dave Emory, suggesting that Obama was groomed for many years by clandestine services and installed.

How does providing a government document from a corrupt government prove anything? After all, how hard is it for the CIA to produce the necessary documents to prove anything they want? Spy organizations do it all the time. The fix is in, and it has been for years.

They already pulled strings to make him a Nobel Peace Prize laureate. Never mind that he abandoned his campaign promises to pull out of Afghanistan and close the US torture facility/prison at Guantanamo. Far from becoming more peaceful since being crowned a Nobel Peace laureate, he has orchestrated more war and causes of war:

• launching drones to attack Pakistan
• fomenting dissent in the geopolitical Middle East, particularly Iran, abusing the executive office just like Bush to depose Libyan leader Qaddafi while saying the goal was not remove him from office then saying that was the goal, and claiming there would be no "boots on the ground" when in fact he had already signed an order to put CIA agents' boots on Libyan ground
• pouring billions into war on Iraq
• pouring even more money into war on Afghanistan
• growing the deficit (our national debt)
• spying on Americans
• continuing funding on all the secret or "black" budget operations engaged in by the Pentagon and the military-industrial complex
• sinking the US dollar
• promoting nuclear power even after Japan.

Obama has backed more corporate exploits and has successfully done more to further Bush administration policies than a President Dick Cheney ever could have.

Pres. Obama may not, legally speaking, be president of the United States as we know it. But, according to investigator and analyst Sean David Morton, he is president of the Corporation of the United States (US, Inc.). What this public display between Birthers and Apologists reveals is amazing: It is not Republicans vs. the USA, nor is it Democrats vs. the USA. Both parties are partly in collusion and partly in the dark.

There is a "shadowy government" (Sen. Inouye) and a "military-industrial complex" (Pres. Einsenhower) that makes the decisions regardless of whether a Democrat or a Republican is in office.

They select who holds office, then they tell them what to say not by force but through advisers and pulling the strings of the media, industry, banking, and clandestine services (American spying agencies).

The hope that by voting for "change" we'll get actual change is revealed as a fantasy.

We're lucky to have a handsome, thoughtful, well-spoken fraud in Barack "Barry Soetoro" Obama.

What will we be offered as an "alternative" in 2012, a Sarah Palin/Donald Trump ticket? The bottom line is, We don't need a third party. We need a second one.
