"I Can Do It! 2011" (Oct. 14-16 Conference)

Wisdom Quarterly, Hay House Publications
()
"Pasadena is the Varanasi (Benares) of the United States," according to Paramahansa Yogananda. The Dalai Lama and Thich Nhat Hanh visit nearly every year as many Eastern masters before them did.

Now join a line of incredibly popular spiritual materialists, world-famous New Age thinkers, urban shamans, and Hay House authors for a weekend retreat in Pasadena!

Join Hay House for a day or the entire weekend! The conference features Colette Baron-Reid, Joan Z. Borysenko, Ph.D., Gregg Braden, Sonia Choquette, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, Debbie Ford, Louise L. Hay, Robert Holden, Ph.D., John Holland, Deborah King, Brad Lamm, Denise Linn, Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D., Dr. Christiane Northrup, Cheryl Richardson, Caroline Sutherland, Eldon Taylor, Sandra Anne Taylor, Reid Tracy, Doreen Virtue, Brian L. Weiss, M.D., Dr. Darren R. Weissman, Marianne Williamson.

It's strictly a coincidence that all of the featured authors are white or Jewish, not prejudice at Hay House. Things were different in the 1940s! It's not like unintentional bias gets pointed out to the octogenarian publisher by her authors. Who dares rock the boat when there is still so much money (abundance) to be made? Happy Birthday, Louise Hay! (She turns 85 on Oct. 8, 2011). Go

The Hero/Heroine's Journey ("Finding Joe")

Gina (TheAwareShow.com)
Patrick Solomon's film about the work of luminary Joseph Campbell whose philosophy has touched people worldwide. It opens at LAEMMLE MONICA 4 PLEX in Santa Monica on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011. findingjoethemovie.com

() Rooted in deeply personal accounts and timeless stories, "Finding Joe" shows how American mythologist Joseph Campbell's work is relevant and essential in today's world.

It provides a narrative for living a fully realized life -- or as Campbell famously put it, how to "follow your bliss" (an expression beloved by the divinely inspired Hicks-Abraham in the Law of Attraction work).

The film features interviews with visionaries from a variety of fields including Deepak Chopra, Mick Fleetwood, Tony Hawk, Rashida Jones, Laird Hamilton, Robert Walter, Robin Sharma, Catherine Hardwicke, Sir Ken Robinson, Akiva Goldsman, and many others.

While studying myth and writing on the human experience (and famously appearing in PBS specials), Prof. Campbell was at Sarah Lawrence College, where he worked for 38 years. His A Hero with a Thousand Faces was published in 1949 and greatly influenced generations of artists and writers, including Bob Dylan, Jim Morrison, Stanley Kubrick, George Lucas, and the Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia.

"I AM" is everyone's journey to a great life.

Do Buddhists "Pray"? (video)

Amber Dorrian (Wisdom Quarterly)

100 million mantras for Tibet with Vajrayana nuns in Nepal and Dharamsala: with every turn a prayer to the compassionate universe and its guardians (colunas.epoca.globo.com/viajologia).

In every dream home a heartache, and every step I take, takes me further from heaven. Is there a heaven? I'd like to think so..." says Bryan Ferry. Whether or not Buddhists pray depends on the definition of "prayer." To beseech, beg, supplicate, worship, and petition an all-powerful "God," that does not happen much. But to ask favors of devas, brahmas, bodhisattvas, or Sakka (the leader of the "Second Heaven" and the overseer of the first celestial world, that might happen. Since Buddhists need not reject their former traditions or beliefs, American Buddhists might well go on taking part in Christian, Islamic, Jewish (polytheistic traditions that many think of as always have been monotheistic faiths), atheistic practices, Hindu (polytheistic), or shaman (animistic) practices.

Solar powered prayer wheels revolving to evolve

Vedic mantras (hymns and "magic spells") in Vedic-Brahminical India were largely replaced by discourses (sutras) and protective chants (parittas) by monastics as well as lay practitioners -- something brahmins would never have tolerated from non-brahmins. Early schools akin to Theravada went on to face rivals that returned to Vedic views using Buddhist terms while bearing a striking similarity to the old Brahmincal ideas. Among those, there must have been an understanding of the various modes of prayer -- including what Gregg Braden popularized as the Isaiah Effect. This was made a mainstream theme by Hicks-Abraham, the original source of the Law of Attraction teachings that made "The Secret" so popular (but they were cut out of the second edition of the film that went viral and which most people know). A million prayers for Tibet could only help.

Some "prayers," being eidetic, have no sound; others have ancient intonations.

All we listen to at the Wisdom Quarterly offices is punk, alt female artists, drum and bass, metal, and this new song by Pink Floyd (new to me) called "Time" that ends: "Far away across the field, tolling on the iron bell, calls the faithful to their knees to hear the softly spoken magic spell [mantra]."

Ask [for UFOs] and It Is Given (video)

Interpreted and translated from broken English by Wisdom Quarterly

() On Monday, Aug. 29, 2011 (20.54 European time, Holland, Netherlands, I took my digital-camera to my balcony. (I already sensed something was near.) I searched the sky, and there on the left and right I saw two very bright lights. So I started recording right away.

After a while my camera was full and stopped recording. Then I saw the one on the right go to the left one, going over that light and slowly disappearing. The one on the left stayed there showing me colors. I was looking at that one, but after a while I looked away very quickly toward my camera, only for a second. [It seemed to know I had looked away because] when I looked back, it disappeared too.

I knew I had caught them on camera. I am now emptying my camera so that maybe tonight I will look and see if I can catch them again. Thanking them in advance [cultivating gratitude in advance], I hope they will appear for a third time and show themselves to me. Because the way I got them to appear in the first place was by asking them yesterday in front of my window. That is how they appeared.

[That is also how Dr. Stephen Greer of the disclosureproject.org claims he gets numerous extraterrestrial crafts and unidentified lights to appear in city skies to be filmed. They apparently possess technology or the natural organic ability to sense beyond the five senses. This would be in line with Sakka's pledge to monitor the moral-ethical state of humankind on a biweekly basis, according to Buddhist legend and Burmese lore.]

I am very thankful and again feel blessed. Namaste, Galactic Federation!

  • HYPERSPACE LANGUAGE: It should also be remembered that extraterrestrial communication involves the use of color, tone, and "archetype" (geometric shape in color that emanates from the mind-pattern and DNA), as detailed by Stewart Swerdlow. Many witnesses, contactees, and abductees have reported this phenomena. In this video, the twin lights appear to be pulsating out a message that may be understood at some deeper level or universally across species and races.

  • Ask and It Is Given (Abraham-Hicks, Law of Attraction)
  • Ask for UFOs if you want to see them (examiner.com)

  • Conversations with Dr. Greer (WPN) "Disclosure 10 Years Later, Part 2." Dr. Loder and Dr. Bravo continue their discussion about the Disclosure Project. The 2001 Nat'l Press Club conference impacted individuals the world over. Since then many countries have declassified information. More
  • VIDEO: Witnesses report UFO in Changchun
  • Multiple witnesses in Changchun, China saw a single UFO on August 27, 2011. The UFO was described as "very bright and large." The unidentified flying object moved slowly in the sky for a staggering two hours before disappearing from sight. Officials have not commented on the identity of the object.
