Sex with animals tied to penile cancer in men

Ashley Wells, Prof. White, Wisdom Quarterly (editors), KTLA.com
Sex With Animals Tied to Penile Cancer in Men SHOCKING NEWS: Unconscionable, subhuman sexual misconduct exists among Americans.

Sex with animals tied to penile cancer in men
Bestiality, often thought of as a myth rather than an actual perversion leading to rebirth among animals or worse, now gets recognition by its connection to cancer.

Legend holds that Europeans -- coming with Columbus, Conquistadors, Dutch merchants, British naval fleets, French and Portuguese and Spanish expeditions -- raped animals and spread venereal diseases among themselves. On arrival they raped the indigenous population of a fully occupied "New World."
They thereby spread disease and took advantage of the lack of immunity to European plagues that were deadly to those without immunity. "Germs, Guns, and Steel" explains some of the impersonal aspects that led to the successful colonization, enslavement, and extermination of natives ("Indians") in the Americas by European imperialists, colonialists, and entrepreneurs.

Not only piracy, which became rampant throughout the Caribbean, Gulf, and Mississippi River, but state-sponsored slavery and theft led to the stealing and dividing up of indigenous nations throughout what is now called the United States (and parts of Canada and Mexico) and neighboring island nation. Bestiality and homosexual rape, as well as genocide and mass rape (as a war tactic) was known to have occurred.

This aided the biological warfare of spreading diseases for which there was neither immunity nor a cure. The natives were decimated. The European conquerors also suffered great losses before European women were brought in large numbers to civilize the men and establish functional colonies profitable to the "Old World."

This history of violence and European mayhem, which was far worse than earlier Viking raids and conquests along Nova Scotia and possible encampment along the northeastern US coast, continues. Men today are engaged in raping other men in prison, in incestuous relationships, and as acts of aggression and dominance (and possibly covert gay longings) duplicating the trauma they have suffered at the hands of their fathers and forebears.

The harm to animals does not seem to alarm anyone. But the consequences to human penises has now made the news. Cancer rates in male genitalia has been etiologically linked. A taboo topic, sexual misconduct (kamesu micchacara) rarely appears this shockingly clear in the mainstream media.

And, of course, no one is allowed to link this behavior with Judeo-Christian biblical injunctions to exercise "dominion" over the animal kingdom, which many Christian men seem to take very literally. (The mistranslation of the word, which means "caretaking" or acting as regents until the king returns, again leads to abuse that followers blindly abide because "the Bible says so" when it actually does not).

Killing Pigs or Undoing the Damage? (cartoon)

Wisdom Quarterly

"Back to the Start" is set to Coldplay's haunting classic "The Scientist" as performed by country music legend Willie Nelson for the soundtrack of the short film entitled. Label and proceeds benefit The Chipotle Cultivate Foundation. The film, by Johnny Kelly, depicts the life of a farmer slowly turning a family farm into an industrial slaughterhouse/factory farm before seeing the errors of this approach to food and nature then opting for a sustainable future. Commissioned by Chipotle to emphasize the importance of developing a sustainable food system.

Would we ever eat factory humans? Sure, why not, flesh is flesh.

Dolphins Speak like Humans: Study (video)

Wisdom Quarterly, LiveScience.com, Xinhuanet

BEIJING - Dolphins do not whistle as previously thought. Instead, they "talk" like humans, according to a new study.

Dolphins use their noses to produce a different kind of tonal sound, just like humans do when speaking [particularly evident in Tonal Asian languages like Thai and Chinese], said Peter Madsen, the lead author of the study published in Royal Society Biology Letters.

Madsen studied how dolphins communicate by digitizing recordings made in 1977 of a 12-year-old male dolphin, which was made to breathe a mixture of helium and oxygen called heliox.

Scientists said humans breathing in a heliox sound like Donald Duck. According to Livescience.com, the heliox was meant to mimic conditions during a deep dive since it causes a shift up in frequency. However, when breathing in heliox, the dolphin continued to make the same sounds with the same frequency. More

So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish
Wisdom Quarterly (COMMENTARY)
Dolphins have feelings. Dolphins rescue humans from sharks and shipwrecks. Dolphins prepare their meals. Dolphins name themselves.... It does not surprise us in the least. Is there anything these sea mammals do not do? But language is the exclusive domain of humans! So long as we believe only our brains can handle syntax, grammar, and linear retentive expression, just so long will we keep ourselves distinct from nature and its countless life forms. Animals already communicate. They already possess means of communicating exceeding ours. Extraterrestrial life forms, who gave us the languages we are so proud of as our exclusive evolutionary advantage, possess still higher and better forms of language. For instance, UFO vehicles communicate a tripartite language, and many animals can use symbols and signs. That dolphins use tones is hardly news to anyone who has interacted with these magical sea creatures.

Translating dolphin communication is possible!

Nagas in the News: Man Bites Snake

Wisdom Quarterly, Family Guy, Tyra Banks Show, Reuters.com, KTLA.com

Reptilian DNA can be activated by anger (apparently).

Man Bites Python

Reuters

A Kenyan man [like yesterday's incident in California but in 2009] bit a python who wrapped him in its coils and hauled him up a tree in a struggle that lasted hours, local media said.... Farm manager Ben Nyaumbe was working at the weekend when the serpent, apparently hunting for livestock, struck in the Malindi area of Kenya's Indian Ocean coast.

(reuters.com)

"I stepped on a spongy thing on the ground and suddenly my leg was entangled with the body of a huge python," he told the Daily Nation newspaper. When the snake coiled itself round his upper body, Nyaumbe resorted to desperate measures: "I had to bite it." The python dragged him up a tree, but when it eased its grip, Nyaumbe said he was able to take a mobile phone out of his pocket and phone for help.

That makes enough sense. After all, a python is massive and was taking him up a tree to eat, reminiscent of a culturally famous story about an apple and an idyllic garden. But it hardly explains the next story of human-reptilian (naga) hybrid behavior.

Man Bites Python, Says He Has No Memory of it
SACRAMENTO, California(ktla.com) - A man is facing animal cruelty charges for biting a two-foot long python, and he says he has no memory of it. Yesterday [Sept. 2, 2011] afternoon Sacramento cops were called...

While talking to the “victim” 57-year-old David Senk, who had blood in his mouth, another witness told cops that Senk took two large bites out of a live python.... They sewed up a two-inch hole in the belly of the snake, and they found a few ribs were missing. Senk was arrested for animal cruelty.

“I did what?” asked Senk when questioned by FOX40’s Lonnie Wong and added: "If you find the owner, tell him I'm real sorry...."

The snakes owner could not be reached, and Senk says he doesn't know how he got in contact with the Python. He also admitted to not liking snakes very much. PHOTOS

Bang Your Own Head, Save a Seal

Take a stand against the cruel seal slaughter by writing to the Canadian government today!

The Agonist Speaks Up for Seals

Chelsi Schriver (PETA2)
One of the strongest drives for a musician is for their voice to be heard. Lyrics provide an undeniable platform to say whatever needs to be said, whether that's about a long lost love, recent heartache, or the current state of the world.

The Agonist is a fiery metal band from Montréal, Canada known for beautiful vocals juxtaposed with deep metal growls [and scathing music]. Lead siren and vocal vixen Alissa White-Gluz isn't afraid to use her voice, and now she's speaking out for seals all across Canada.

Alissa is so adamantly opposed to the annual Canadian seal slaughter that she lent herself -- and her voice -- to PETA for a new ad, insistently stating, "Bang your own head, not a seal's."

The Agonist (Alissa) speaks up for peta2 and compassion

It's time to put Canada's great shame -- the annual seal slaughter, during which hundreds of thousands of harp seals are clubbed and beaten to death -- in the spotlight. Every year at this time, sealers take to the ice to bludgeon migrating seals and their babies, all for the sake of selling fur pelts on the international market.

If there were no demand for fur [thank you, dog fur salesman P Diddy Sean Puff Daddy Combs], there would be no seal slaughter.

Did Puff Daddy really sell dog fur?

We don't understand why people would want to wear a dead animal (and contribute to the devastating environmental effects of fur production), and neither does Alissa.

Watch our exclusive video with Alissa -- a lifelong vegetarian -- to learn why she is so passionate (and compassionate) that she is willing to stick up for seals and why she will always take a stand against animal cruelty. Then take a stand by writing to the Canadian government!

Sexism, Racism...Meat Eating (Carnism)

Why We Love Do
gs, Eat Pigs, and Wear Cows: An Introduction to Carnism

Prof. Melanie Joy, Ph.D.

In “Why We Love Dogs…” social psychologist Melanie Joy explains carnism, the invisible belief system that shapes our perception of the meat we eat, so that we love some animals and eat others without knowing why.

Prof. Joy, a longtime activist for social and environmental justice and animal welfare, explains how "carnism," like other unjust ideologies, is sustained by complex, hidden, sociopsychological mechanisms. It is most harmful when unrecognized.

Using powerful imagery, thought-provoking analyses, and a compelling narrative, Joy elucidates how, although unjust ideologies all are unique, the mentality that enables such interlocking systems is strikingly similar. When unnoticed, these ideologies can cause us to act against our core values and interests, to sustain socially and ecologically unjust systems.

By illuminating the invisible mechanisms of carnism, Joy seeks to help viewers become more empowered citizens, informed consumers, and active social witnesses. More

She is the author of numerous articles on psychology, animal protection, and social justice, which have been published in a variety of journals and magazines. She is the leading researcher on carnism, the psychology of eating meat. She has been interviewed for numerous magazines, books, and radio on her work, including the BBC, NPR, PBS, and ABC Australia. She is also the author of Strategic Action for Animals. Though much of Dr. Joy’s writing focuses on animal protection, she is also a longtime human rights advocate, feminist psychology, domestic violence, and psychological trauma.

Slaughter-Free Milk

If you must drink milk (or consume dairy products like cheese, whey, lactose sugar, ice cream, or other things that do more to leach calcium from bones -- due to their acidifying of body chemistry and the ammonia produced from the break down of protein -- than they provide in any assimilable form), use slaughter-free. It's the least we could do to give thanks for what is taken from moo cows.

PRODUCTION:
The Lotus Trust has finally found a suitable farm to produce slaughter-free milk after two years of searching. Working in partnership with OMSCo (Organic Milk Suppliers Cooperative), an organic dairy in SE England has agreed to pilot the production of Ahimsa [nonviolent, harm-free] milk with a select herd of cows.

Commonwork is an environmental charity, study center and an organic dairy near Sevenoaks in Kent [England]. It has a well established educational program that explores local and global sustainability. The thrust of its work is towards a just and sustainable world.

Due to parallels in its vision with The Lotus Trust for a fairer world, one where there is collaboration and connection with nature, it has agreed to run this first pilot.

Ahimsa milk will be produced to the following minimal standards:
  • No cows, calves, or bulls will be slaughtered
  • Cows can graze freely on open pasture
  • Cows will be protected for life
Commonwork Organic Dairy is fully responsible for all milking cows. The Lotus Trust has set up a new not-for-profit organization -- the Ahimsa Dairy Foundation (ADF), which will be responsible for ongoing care of all non-milking cows, specifically calves, bulls, and retired milking cows.

Meat and milk as commodities -- cash cow

Cows at Commonwork are looked after to Soil Association organic standards, which means:
  • they are not injected with hormones or steroids;
  • they are on a diet of non-GM forage (mainly plant leaves, stems, legumes, and grass) primarily grown on the farm;
  • they graze in open fields during spring, summer, and autumn.
Winter housing is spacious and they have areas where they can walk around with access to food 24 hours a day. The health and welfare of the cows is foremost, they are treated with homeopathy and alternative treatments when possible. Antibiotics are used only when no other approaches work. More

Living beings treated like unfeeling factories

New Marshmallows, Jello made of human tissue

Wisdom Quarterly

There was once a movie that said "Soilent Green" is people. In the dystopic future, people were being tricked and treated like cows being fattened through cannibalism. Now it has become a reality as Chinese scientists develop a gelatin (the stuff in marshmallows and jello, which is normally made out of boil feet of cloven hoofed animals).

A press release from the American Chemical Society for a study just off the press in which a quartet of Beijing researchers produce human-derived gelatin. Will it be put on the market secretly the way cloned meat, pesticide-laden vegetables and frankenfruit, and irradiated (enzyme destroyed foods exposed to radiation)?

Most gelatin -- hidden in many items as a stiffener or binder including cheap vitamins, cheeses, candies, soaps, desserts, cosmetics -- comes from the waste products of slaughtered animals: nails, bones, skin (collagen) broken down into protein strands that form a gel. There is, of course, a small risk of bovine encephalopathy (Mad Cow Disease).

Wouldn't human cells be so much easier and cheaper, with the added benefit of, well, cannibalism?

Ariel Schwartz (July 18, 2011)
We may not have to rely on boiled pig bones for our gelatin forever. The solution may not be any more appetizing... Gelatin is found in everything from Jell-O and marshmallows to cosmetics and candles. But the current method of taking gelatin from the skin and bones of cows and pigs has... the potential for transmitting infectious diseases like Mad Cow and the possibility of triggering immune system responses in humans.... though the newest option -- human derived gelatin -- isn't too appetizing.

Protesting Torture at Ringling Brothers' Circus

Wisdom Quarterly

() People for the Ethical Treatment of Animal's 2009 investigation of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus found that workers were beating, electro-shocking, whipping, tying, and hooking elephants and striking tigers. Shocking footage shows the torment behind animal circuses that exploit animals. (The same or worse holds true for rodeos). What can compassionate people do? It's easy. Avoid circuses. There is no need to demonstrate on the streets as activists are doing today July 20, 2011 in downtown Los Angeles as Ringling Brothers attempts to begin a stint of animal-exploitation shows. There is no need to write letters or boycott a company. Simply stay home if a visit to a circus was planned.
LA Protesters Stand Up to Circus

()

Last year nearly 300 anti-cruelty advocates and activists came together at the Staples Center to protest the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus.

This circus has frequently come under attack from activists and authorities alike for its pattern of abuse and cruelty towards captive animals forced to perform demeaning entertainments, suffer in cages, lacking sufficient exercise, nutrition, and care. The elephants are showing signs of arthritis as a result.

Ringling Bros. has been cited and fined numerous times for animal cruelty. In a moment of bitter irony the LA police attempted to arrest an LCA activist for displaying a "bullhook," a device frequently used to torment elephants by Ringling Bros.

"We don't want to shut down the circus," one activist was heard to say. "We just want them to eliminate the use of animals." Note: Cirque du Soleil, Bindlestiff Family Circus, and The Little Russian Circus are all animal-free.

Annual Protests Until Reform
In spite of being cited and fined by the USDA for animal cruelty, Ringling Bros continues to profit from its abuses. Members of groups participating in the protest included ISSAC, OCPA, IDA, LCA, PETA Los Angeles, Animal Defenders International, and ASPCA among many others. For much of the time, the protesters outnumbered the circus-goers waiting in line at the venue.

News of the Day: Facebook Nation

The Atlantic Wire, May 24, 2o11
In Paris, today, French president Nicolas Sarkozy rubbed shoulders with tech industry superstars, including Eric Schmidt and Mark Zuckerberg, for the inaugural eG-8 meeting. The two-day event intends to prime the conversation at the Group of Eight summit set to take place later this week in Normandy. Sarkozy took a hard line in urging governments to better regulate the Internet. "Don't let the revolution that you've begun threaten everyone's basic right to a private life and full autonomy," he told the conferences attendees. "Full transparency… sooner or later runs into the very principle of individual freedom."

Dutch Jewish Groups Face Off Against Animal Activists
Opening Serve: Thieme, one of only two members of Dutch parliament representing the "far-left minority" Party for Animals, introduced a bill back in April that, according to Chabad.org, "would effectively outlaw kosher slaughtering in the Netherlands," including kosher slaughtering practices which require "that an animal be conscious when its throat is cut." Radio Netherlands Worldwide reported when the bill was first introduced that "The Animal Rights Party fervently believes that animals should not have to endure what they call torture in order to accommodate religious beliefs." In an op-ed at Radio Netherlands Worldwide entitled, "An Animal Doesn't Care About Its Killer's Faith," Thieme wrote that, despite the fact that the Qu'ran and Torah both "describe how animal products should be prepared in such a way that no such suffering is inflicting on humans or animals ... based on new insights, their methods of slaughter are in need of reform today. Religious believers can no longer justify a method that was ahead of its time 3000 years ago."

Palin lets her religion show, confuses prophecy with history
(Commentary) Sarah Palin never seems far from saying things that invoke god's name or a biblical allusion. She has been known to be as blunt when sharing her religious beliefs as she is about most other issues. She spoke with Fox News' Jeanine Pirro on Saturday, telling her that Pres. Barack Obama was on the wrong side of history -- and god -- with his policy positioning on Israel. He announced that position during Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to Washington. "Anyone who studies history," Palin told Fox News, "studies the Old Testament, studies geography, understands that Israel now is surrounded by enemies at all times. It should be now that America takes a stand in defending our friends in Israel."
