"I don't have the attention span to meditate"

Wisdom Quarterly (INTERVIEW with Fat Joe) no relation to Fat Mike

  • Joe, do you or could you meditate?
"What? I have ADHD. At least I think I do. My mom's doctor gave me speed [the chemical pharmaceutical Ritalin], so I do now anyway."

[Still drinking soda, eating fast food (excitotoxins and cancer-forming carbs, adulterated fats, sugars), watching TV (commercials)...]

"There's no way I can meditate. I can't pay attention. I've been sitting here playing Call of Duty: Black Ops for like 12 hours.

"If I try to meditate, I'll fall asleep. So, like, forget it. My phone keeps going off, texts, uh... What was I saying?

"I'm so fat and losing my hair. I look like Da' Buddha, or who's that guy at the Chinese take-out, Hotei Budai? You know, you rub his belly. Anyway. What, like, you sit down, like, on the floor on a cushion? Dude. No way! Maybe after some primo bud..."
  • But, Joe, how are you able to pay attention to those videogames for 12 hours?
"What d'ya mean?"
  • If you have Attention DEFICIT and Hyperactive Disorder, where are you getting all this attention?
"Oh-oh, I see! Hmm, huh, yeah. Medication? This game's exciting! Isn't meditation, like, BORING? Just sitting there staring at your belly button. What is meditation? I can't do it! I don't have the attention span to meditate."

A Sound Healing with Dolphins (video)

Wisdom Quarterly, RedIceCreations.com,
() A 528 Hz healing frequency with free and loving dolphin energy

(RIC) These original sound frequencies were apparently used in ancient Gregorian chants, such as the great hymn to St. John the Baptist, along with others Church authorities say were lost centuries ago. The chants and their special tones were believed to impart tremendous spiritual blessings when sung in harmony during religious services. These powerful frequencies were rediscovered by Dr. Joseph Puleo as described in the book Healing Codes for the Biological Apocalypse by Dr. Len Horowitz. More

Solfeggio frequencies make up the sacred Solfeggio Scale... (solfeggiofrequencies.net)

  • UT 396 Hz Liberating Guilt and Fear
  • RE 417 Hz Undoing Situations and Facilitating Change
  • MI 528 Hz Transformation and Miracles (DNA Repair)
  • FA 639 Hz Connecting/Relationships
  • SOL 741 Hz Awakening Intuition
  • LA 852 Hz Returning to Spiritual Order
Solfeggio Hertz Meditations
The Solfeggio frequencies belong to a musical scale used in ancient music, chants and ceremonies. The Solfeggio tones were believed to enable spiritual blessings and transformation when played or sung in harmony.

According to Dr. Len Horowitz and Dr. Puleo, some genetic biochemists suggest frequency 528 Hz is the repair frequency for damaged DNA. Regardless of individual beliefs, as each note has a different tuning from the conventional musical scale, these tones provide a new stimulus to the heart/mind and physical system (brain).

It has recently been accepted by scientists that just by providing the brain with new input alone, has many benefits; in relation to brain plasticity (keeping the mind young healthy and active). As the mind becomes healthy the physical body responds and also reaps its own reward.

Solfeggio Hz Meditation is a modern adaptation of the ancient the Solfeggio scale, combined with Unison Therapy's Alpha Theta and Delta brainwave entrainment (binaural beats). Solfeggio Hz Meditation can be played as ambient music or used with stereo headphones, which makes it a powerful audio healing tool for relaxation, personal development, and miraculous transformation.

Teen dies from smoking synthetic pot

Real thing still illegal

A 13-year-old in the U.S. who became ill after smoking synthetic marijuana and had a double lung transplant has died. Tonya Rice tells the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review newspaper that her son, Brandon, died Thursday morning at a Pennsylvania hospital. The boy smoked the fake marijuana out of a plastic candy dispenser and suffered chemical burns to both lungs. More

Why is Hemp Illegal?
Cannabis is a plant with many uses. It has always been popular with industry -- until it realized it could monopolize and make more money from deadly petroleum products. Who needs strong HEMP fiber, balanced oil, super protein, cancer medicine (it actually selectively eliminates cancer cells), or just about anything else when PLASTICS can be used to make toxic cloth (polyester), solvents, flavorings, preservatives, or deadly carcinogens?

Hemp is not marijuana. Anyone who smokes recreationally bears the unhealthy result of such abuse. "Marijuana" is an invention of a well orchestrated propaganda campaign paid for by the petrochemical industry. To take the psychoactive ingredient and breed plant strains that specifically promote abuse and addiction -- while pretending it is just individuals doing the research and development without clandestine government help -- is one of the great lies of our time.

Marijuana has become a scourge, whereas hemp is a green solution to many post-industrial problems. After making tobacco toxic (it is said only cigarettes cause cancer, not the unadulterated plant in its natural state) industry sold it, made it as addictive as it could, and finally tried everything it could to avoid liability while the foolish in all quarters did the sensible thing of stating that there was no scientific link establishing a connection between smoking and cancer. They did not subsequently come forward to apologize for their tragic myopia.

In the same way, pot abuse and the "War on Drugs" conceals and distracts from the benefits of hemp. Obama has turned his back on normalizing cannabis laws in favor of Bush-era police state crackdowns on medical dispensaries.

Marijuana: Medicine or Poison?

Wisdom Quarterly
Celebrated in the media, frowned on by cops (on duty), abused by the public, bemoaned by collaterally damaged victims of others' abuse... pot is funny; that doesn't make it healthy. How to quit pot addiction

The Buddha did NOT smoke marijuana, survive on hemp seeds, or advocate the consumption of any intoxicant, no matter what Cypress Hill or hempsters suggest. (Hemp good, drug harmful).

On the contrary, the fifth precept runs: "I undertake to abstain from consuming intoxicants that occasion heedlessness." Laying around sinking like a stone instead of advancing is spoken of as a terrible thing in the Advice to Householders.

In fact, he warned that "There are, young householder, six miserable consequences to indulging in intoxicants that occasion heedlessness: loss of wealth, increase in quarrels, susceptibility to disease, loss of reputation, indecent exposure, and weakened intellect" (Sigalovada Sutra).

If people get stoned, that's on them. The crime is thinking, saying, or acting as if the Buddha is applauding or winking.
  • Wisdom Quarterly's BOTTOM LINE: We don't care if you smoke it, but don't allow yourself to be deluded into thinking it's a "Buddhist" thing to do. (If you "have" to have it, note what the HHC says is good about it*).

Marijuana is UNSAFE
Sam de Brito (smh.com.au)
Before we answer this, let me say I've smoked more dope than 95 per cent of readers, guaranteed. For close to 20 years I inhaled leaf, tip, buds, bush heads, hydro, chocolate "Buddha," sinsemilla [seedless], Mexican dirt weed, power skunk, Maui wowie, black hash, brown hash, green hash, hash oil, the putty out of downpipes... even ground up seeds and stems.

I've cooked with pot, eaten it [along with countless munchies] in cakes, brownies, banana bread, and straight off the plant. I've drunk it in thick shakes and smoothies, teas, bong water and, once, smeared resin on my eyeballs because someone told me it would get me stoned. (It didn't work).

I've grown it, stolen in, given it away, traded it for a wetsuit, even pretended it was parsley and kangaroo scat when selling it. So please don't tell me I'm anti-dope.

I just reckon it's time that people, in an attempt to sound enlightened, stop telling the world that "marijuana is harmless [or marijuana is healthy]." Anyone who's been around it for long enough knows that's not true.

I do not know whether others have ever heard voices after taking drugs. But I have, several times, and it used to be what I paid good money for. The problem was, as my drug career deepened and lengthened, those pesky head noises would appear after just one cone of hydro (hydroponically-grown). And there's the rub.

Hydro-marijuana is everywhere nowadays. It's the dope of choice for younger smokers, because nothing else delivers the punch and the value for money like a knuckle of super-sticky buds out of some biker's basement grow-room.

If one examines a hydro set-up, it is obvious they get hot and humid. Thus they are a magnet for every type of bug and insect within a mile. This is why a lot of growers hit their plants with a cocktail of pesticides and fungicides that make Agent Orange look like asthma medicine.

This means the plants, and the buds kids smoke, are also chock full of those pesticides. This is in addition to chemical fertilizers chosen by growers whose knowledge of chemicals and their effect on the human brain is limited to nonexistent. More

Treatment
The negative effects of marijuana addiction will impact an individual physically, emotionally, psychologically, and socially, causing the person's life to be unproductive and even disconcerting. Fortunately, addiction treatment can help establish energy and progress to individuals robbed of life by marijuana addiction. There is a reason why the individual smokes. And all of those reasons rolled up into one do change the fact that they experience harm as a result. It is not enough to switch addictions. More

"The Botany of Desire" (video)

(Link)

() "The Botany of Desire" is an eye opening exploration of the human-plant relationship. Featuring author Michael Pollan and based on his best-selling book, this special takes viewers on a fantastical ride exploring the human and plant worlds -- from the plants' point of view. The program shows how four familiar American favorites evolved to satisfy our yearnings for intoxication (altered consciousness), control, sweetness, and beauty:

  1. our favorite weed, marijuana (for medicine)
  2. our favorite vegetable, the potato (for chips)
  3. our favorite fruit, the apple (for pie), and
  4. our favorite flower, the tulip (for tiptoeing).

"Veggin'out" is so in
Tips for starting a vegetable garden
Vegetable and herb gardening is in and studies indicate it will continue to grow in popularity. If you're not growing your own yet it's time to start. Why? The reasons are as varied as the people who garden. Some do it to save money. Others want to ensure their food is chemical-free, and as safe as possible. Still others grow their own vegetables because fresher is just better. Many do it because gardening is good for you and some because it’s still fun to play in the dirt. More

Mr. Natural
Outdoorsman has made life of exploring urban wilderness
Justin Chapman (PasadenaWeekly.com)
Christopher Nyerges has lived the life he’s written so passionately about in numerous books, magazines, and newspapers -- that of a philosopher outdoorsman traversing an increasingly urbanized wilderness, a man able to survive off the land in any given situation. “In a survival situation, you’re either prepared or you’re not... And most people are wholly unprepared. That being said, I look at failure, which most people try to avoid, as a good thing. Failure from the standpoint of character-building means that you have your weaknesses exposed, and if you’re smart, you then do something about it.” More
